Rayman is the main protagonist of the video game series of the same name. Rayman was originally created in the early 1990s by French video game developer Michel Ancel. The character made his debut in the original Rayman game, published by Ubisoft in 1995. With his trademark lack of limbs and helicopter hair, Rayman has become a popular and recognisable video game character, and the series has continued to grow and develop across numerous platforms up to the present day.

Role in the Series Edit

Rayman is Ingrid's best friend. He is also a great friend of Sonja. He helps Sonja in her adventures and everyone is confused of why he doesn't have any arms, legs and neck. Sonja's friends really got use to Rayman's limbless looks really fast.

Personality Edit

Rayman's personality has changed subtly over the course of the games. In the original, he was a carefree guardian of the world.

The Great Escape showed more of his serious side, taking his duties as guardian seriously, but remaining kind and friendly to his friends and doing his best to help and defend his world. In M/Arena however, this part of his personality is replaced with a fierce competitive streak.

Hoodlum Havoc has him become slightly snarkier and more exasperated with Globox and Murphy's antics. He also has more pride, laughing and bragging when accomplishing a goal and beating all enemies in an an area. However, he has shown more of his ridiculous, humorous side in this game, shown in taunting the lums with funny faces. This personality carries over to Raving Rabbids, where he is calm and collected most of the time but acts idiotic to fool the Rabbids.

In Origins and Legends, Rayman becomes a fun-loving, rowdy and energetic child-like character, napping and beating up his friends with gusto while still being content to help others.

From Rayman 3 onwards, Rayman has shown himself to be lazy, yet serious about his work: Napping, eating and having fun with his friends, but knowing to kick himself into high gear when he needs to save the world
